Your visit
Everything about getting treated through Celara Med — how the review works, how long it takes, and how your treatment reaches your door. If your question isn't here, email support@celaramed.com.
Pick the treatment and supply length you want — 30, 60, or 90 days — and complete a medical intake covering your history, current medications, and goals.
An independent licensed provider decides whether that treatment is medically appropriate for you and, if so, at what dose. Not approved means a full refund.
If approved, a licensed U.S. 503A compounding pharmacy fills the prescription and sends it to your door with dosing instructions.
Mostly, it fits your day instead of interrupting it. You start from home — no drive, no waiting room. Many programs don't require a live visit at all; the provider reviews your intake and responds through the portal, which makes it faster still. It also costs less, with no insurance to work around.
Speed and price, mostly. You choose the program you're interested in and complete a medical intake. An independent licensed provider reviews it to determine whether that treatment is appropriate for you and, if so, what dose to start at. If it's approved, a licensed U.S. 503A compounding pharmacy ships it to your door.
Because we work directly with compounding pharmacies rather than through retail, treatment costs a fraction of brand pricing. And because a provider sets your dose, you're not guessing at it.
Yes. The provider reviewing your intake decides independently whether a treatment is medically appropriate for you. They may approve it, approve it at a different dose than you expected, ask follow-up questions, or decline it entirely. Selecting a program starts a medical review — it isn't a guarantee of a prescription.
If you aren't approved, you get a full refund. You're never charged for a treatment a provider decided against.
You'll be seen by an independent, state-licensed clinician — a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant — from a third-party provider network. These providers are not employees of Celara Med. They practice independently, exercise their own clinical judgment, and are responsible for the care they provide.
Celara Med provides the platform, patient support, and administrative services that connect you with them. We don't practice medicine and we don't direct clinical decisions. Provider availability depends on licensure in your state, which the intake checks before you go any further.
No. Celara Med works alongside your primary care provider, not instead of them. Keep seeing your regular clinicians, and let them know what you're taking through us. If you'd like your records shared with another provider, contact support and we'll send you a release to sign.
You must be 18 or older to become a patient. If you're under 18, please don't register or send us personal information. If you believe we've collected information from a minor, email support@celaramed.com right away and we'll delete it.
It depends on the program and your state's requirements. Most reviews are asynchronous — the provider reads your intake and responds through the portal without a live call. Some states or programs require a live video or phone consult. We tell you which applies before anything is scheduled.
⟨Hours — e.g. Monday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pacific.⟩
If your program needs one, you'll get a private link at your appointment time that puts you in a virtual waiting room until the provider joins. No app to download. For a phone consult, you'll call the number in your confirmation and our team connects you.
For an asynchronous review, expect a decision within 24–48 hours of completing your intake. If the provider needs more information before deciding, they'll message you through the portal. For a live visit, the provider reviews everything before you meet.
Far less time than a traditional appointment. Most patients create an account, finish intake, get a decision, and have an approved order shipping within a few days.
Nothing ships without a provider first reviewing your history and current medications and deciding the treatment is appropriate for you. Every prescription is then filled by a licensed U.S. 503A compounding pharmacy — state-licensed, registered with the FDA, and required to compound using USP-grade or FDA-approved ingredients under USP sterility and quality standards.
One thing to understand clearly: a 503A pharmacy operates under FDA oversight, but the compounded preparations it makes are not themselves FDA-approved products. The clinical disclosure at the bottom of this page explains what that means for you. It's short, and it's worth reading.
Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act is the part of federal law that governs pharmacies compounding medications for individual patients with a valid prescription. A 503A pharmacy is licensed by its state board of pharmacy, registered with the FDA, and subject to FDA inspection.
Compounding is what allows a pharmacy to prepare a specific dose or formulation for you rather than a mass-manufactured product. The tradeoff is that compounded preparations don't go through the FDA's drug approval process the way commercial products do — which is why a provider has to determine that compounded treatment is appropriate for you before anything is dispensed.
Your provider does. You select the program; the provider sets the dose based on your intake. Don't change your dose on your own — message your provider through the portal first.
Detailed instructions ship with every prescription and stay available in your portal. To speak with a pharmacist, call the number printed on your bottle. For anything about your treatment, message your provider.
This is why intake asks for everything — prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and supplements. List all of it. The provider screens for interactions as part of deciding whether a treatment is appropriate, so leaving something out can lead to the wrong decision. If anything changes, tell your provider before your next dose.
All of our partner pharmacies are licensed U.S. 503A compounding pharmacies. For questions about your treatment, message your provider or our support team — contact a pharmacy directly only about a specific fill already in progress.
Each prescription covers a set supply — 30, 60, or 90 days, depending on the program. There are no pharmacy refills on an existing prescription: each new supply is a new order that a provider reviews again to confirm the treatment is still appropriate and whether your dose should change.
Programs on a recurring cycle place that order for you automatically at the end of each cycle. Otherwise, order a few days before you finish your current supply so the review and shipping have time to land. See the Refund & Subscription Policy for renewal and cancellation terms.
No. Compounded formulations are prepared by our partner 503A pharmacies and can't be transferred to or filled by a retail pharmacy. Your medication ships directly to you from the pharmacy that prepared it.
Usually not — packages are left at your door in discreet, unmarked packaging. If a medication requires a signature or cold-chain handling, we'll tell you before it ships so you can plan to be home. If a shipment arrives warm, damaged, or late, contact support before using it.
Your records stay confidential. We follow state and federal requirements covering your health and payment information, and we don't sell your data. It's shared only with the providers and pharmacies involved in your care. See our Privacy Policy and General Terms and Conditions for specifics.
Yes. If your program runs on a recurring cycle, cancel under Manage Subscription in your account portal at least 72 hours before your next billing date to stop the next renewal. You can also email support@celaramed.com.
A few things worth knowing before you order: canceling stops future renewals but you remain responsible for the current cycle, with no prorated refunds. Orders already fulfilled by the pharmacy are final. Full terms are in our Refund & Subscription Policy.
